What We Do

Release the Oppressed Ministries helps to launch new outreach ministries by providing resources and services.

How We Serve

01.

— We Launch Ministries

Release the Oppressed Ministries (ROM), is a ministry launch-pad service, organized to encourage and enable apostolic ministry outreach to widows, orphans, prisoners, slaves, and other oppressed people, worldwide. By ‘apostolic’ we mean a ministry which aims to reach people who are not yet being released from oppression by the love of Christ and His people.

02.

— We Have Resources

We hope to fellowship with people who have a vision and desire to reach out to help an oppressed group of people for God; whom we might be able to provide with those resources which are needed to launch the ministry that they believe God is calling them into. Our services will differ according to the needs of each ministry we are serving.
03.

— We Have Experience

We are a fellowship of apostolic ministries to oppressed peoples, which are bound together by a shared calling. Each launch ministry in fellowship with ROM, are welcome to use our experience and resources, which include such gifts as God provides us with.

04.

— We Provide Services

The services we provide presently include:

  • Media Help — Website design, logo design, and the design of business cards, brochures, social media graphics, etc.

  • Personnel — Screening of applicants for your ministry, collecting references and background checks, coordinating and training short term teams to come support your ministry as requested by you. Follow-up debriefing of those returning from trips to your work.

  • Prophetic Ministry — We’ll fellowship with people who will know and pray about your ministry and if you’d like, who will send you what they believe they’ve heard from the Lord concerning you or your ministry or country or area.

  • Accountability — intercession and hospitality when you are in the Charlotte, NC / Fort Mill, SC / Ocala, FL area, and help coordinating hospitality among members through an in ministry network media, also serving in coordinating news of those in ROM Fellowship to the fellowship and representation at missions conferences.

  • Finances — While ROM is not a funding ministry, we are a non- profit organization with 501 (c)3 status, and are able to provide receipts for those giving to ROM. Through donations that come in to ROM, funds will be given to help those ministries that ROM is in the process of launching, as the ROM Board of Directors determines. Each ROM board member trusts the Lord for their own finances and office equipment, and so ROM operating overhead is very low. Therefore more donated funds can be given to sooner launch these new ministries.

  • Mentoring services — ROM Board Members bring many years and wide experience to new ministries that are getting ready to be launched. We aim to make ourselves available to those we are serving.

  • Maintain Accountability — even after your ministry is launched; we offer prayer, personnel referencing, and training and representation as the Lord continues your relating with ROM. Our relationship, because we are all in Christ, will never end. It is all about the fellowship.

05.

— We Offer Fellowship

We are people God brings together by His Spirit, into fellowship for related purpose. All at ROM share the same desire; to help the oppressed, as stated above.

We hope to fellowship with people who have a vision and desire to reach out to help an oppressed group of people for God; whom we might be able to provide with those resources which are needed to launch the ministry that they believe God is calling them into. Our services will differ according to the needs of each ministry we are serving.

ROM does not own or formally partner with any ministry that we are serving. In this way, the obedience of God’s calling will be less hindered; more oppressed people reached. ROM does not recruit workers, but rather we fellowship with people who are led of God to reach out to oppressed people, who He leads us to cross paths with. If you are on this website, and you have a vision or calling to the oppressed, we would love to hear your ministry’s chapter one!

It is our goal at ROM, that each ministry that God is calling people to start, will be launched in God’s timing. We do not rush the growth of any ministry. Our sole purpose is to help see these ministries actually come about, recognizing that as they will grow, that the role of ROM will become less as each ministry’s own support team is formed, until the new ministry is launched. Then ROM can focus on the next ministry God is sending us to serve.

Who Are the Oppressed

Addicts

People who struggle with harmful addictions often require care that leads to healing. They may also be in need of new opportunities.

The Lonley

People who are widowed, divorced, or for some reason or another find themself alone and in need of a good friend.

Orphans

Young people living on the streets, in foster care, or in orphanages all need love and assistance, with hope for a better future.

The Needy

People who lack the money it takes to live healthy lives, often without opportunities for betterment, need caring assistance and hope.

Prisoners

People in prison who need encouragement. Their circumstances are difficult, and their family members may also be suffering.

Strangers

People from a foreign land who may be in need of friendly assistance to navigate life in their new surroundings.

And Others

People who have been mistreated or abused or find themselves in difficult situations need hope and a better future. We look forward to hearing and reading and maybe even getting to play a role in the first chapters of the books of many new ministries that are about to be launched. If you have a vision for helping oppressed people and think we can help, send us chapter one of your book! This to say, share your vision with us.

“Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke?” —Isaiah 58:5-7
